WASHINGTON D.C. – New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has named Amit Bose, Chairman of the Coalition for the Northeast Corridor (CNEC) to the Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee of the Restart and Recovery Advisory Council. The Council brings together leaders from diverse industry groups and community organizations throughout New Jersey to advise state leadership on economic matters impacted by COVID-19.
Governor Murphy announced the formation of the Council on May 8, 2020.
“We understand that we need a smart and granular approach to recovery. This group will not only help us gather the local intelligence we need to get our economy running again, but also will help us create the framework for coping with our new long-term economic realities,” said Governor Murphy.
The Restart and Recovery Advisory Council will work with the Governor’s Restart and Recovery Commission, a group charged with advising the administration on the timing and preparation for New Jersey’s recovery from the COVID-19 shutdown.
“Transportation systems will play a vital role in New Jersey’s recovery,” said Bose. “I’m excited to join the Council and explore innovative ways transportation can move us all forward.”
